Welcome to the website of the Archives of the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia

The Archives provides the Diocese with a memory & is a reflection of the true face of the organization that created it.

The task of the Diocesan Archives is to collect, protect, and provide access to the records of the Diocese including its Bishops, officers, clergy, parishes, and related organizations, as laid down in the Canons of the Diocese. The Archives also collects private records of relevance to the life of the Diocese.

From 1859 to 1879 the Diocese of British Columbia included all of what is today the Province of British Columbia. In 1879 the Province was divided into three diocese; Caledonia, New Westminster, and British Columbia. The Anglican Diocese of British Columbia now comprises Vancouver Island and adjacent islands.
